I like the shadow; I feel it gives it a more 'natural' look. The colors are beautiful; saturation seems a tad on the high side, but that might be because of my monitor (this monitor is very messed up...the lightest shades of gray show up as yellow...yea)
What is meant by the title? Elegance in emerald?
For some reason, I feel the petals on the far left are a bit distracting, because they seem to come off the flower a bit.
It's overall a very pretty shot. The background is nice, though I dislike the brightness in the lower right (I feel that a general circular color to black would have worked better, but that's just me; the more complex scheme you chose here gives it a different feel, which certainly is not bad).
I enjoyed the picture very much Thank you. Very pretty.

Yeah, on my creepy computer (called "Franky" xD ) it looks also completely over-saturated. But on my father´s computer (with a high screen quality) the flower just looks soft, yellow.... pleasant. I´ve problem, that when I upload something from my comp. , it´ll always look terrible on dad´s good one and therefore I have to fix in with his....
My english is poor, that´s certainly why the title is slightly bewildering. The emerald is a green gemstone/jewel. In german "elegance in emerald" would mean : "Green elegance (for the emerald is green, or something like :" an elegence like that of the emerald jewel"... )
I wonderd a long time if I give it a circular shadow... you must be right- such a shadow must be better, since the viewers would prefer to see, what they´re used to see ....
I decided to not to use a circular one, because I thought these kinds of shadow fix the view too much on the object. I didn´t want the picture to look, as if there is nothing more important/ beautiful than this flower. The world is big. I wanted the viewer to any a pretty flower for a while and than go on and discover the rest...

Mmm...interesting explanation. It makes sense, though I did not get that from just looking at the photo, mainly because the background is quite plain.
Your English is pretty darn good. A lot better than my German (which I've never studied) or my Japanese (which I'm studying right now).
Keep up the great work
